3/24/2024 0 Comments Chilean mauser model 1895![]() Sources on the internet claim these rechambered rifles are safe for medium pressure chamberings like. Additional research says that the Chilean government re-heat treated and chambered some of the former 7x57 rifles into. My limited research says that it is a genuine pre-1899 (paperless transfer) mauser manufactured for the Chilean military, virtually identical to the Spanish model 1893 which saw use during the Spanish-American war. It is marked "Chilean model 1895" and the receiver is marked 7.62 with a "N" below it. The rifle looks complete and is in 75-80% condition. His felony record precluded him from owning firearms but we found two black powder pistols and one old mauser in his closet. ![]() ![]() My wifes's uncle passed away unexpectedly and I spent most of last week helping to store his belongings for the pending probate/estate sale. ![]()
